LPN Job Requirements:
  • Responsibilities include: * Prioritizes, plans and provides direct resident care including the physical and psychological care of a resident group during assigned shift. Resident care may include lifting, positioning or transferring residents that require physical effort. * Participates in data collection and contributes to the care by providing data obtained during resident care. * Evaluates the response of the resident to specific nursing interventions. * Contributes to the resident discharge plan. * Provides direction for assisting personnel assigned to work with residents. * Using the nursing process in providing resident care, including making daily assessments of residents and communicates this appropriately. * Adjusts care in consultation with other healthcare disciplines as appropriate and implements plan to achieve optimal outcomes. * Performs accurate and ongoing data collection relevant to the resident’s individual needs and following appropriate protocol. * Communicate appropriate information to healthcare team members, assigned residents and families. * Supports an environment for quality care and professional practice. * Documents on residents as necessary, to include ECC. * Able to respond to emergency calls in Independent Living, including assessing, first aid or transport via EMS.
